We began offering arts programming in 2020 to carve out space for marginalized artists and amplify unheard voices with stories from the present. YPC is dedicated to supporting BIPOC creators such as composers, choreographers, and storytellers. We envision a path to building intercultural understanding and tolerance through public performance in the Minnesota Twin Cities. Our goal is to center marginalized art forms (e.g., street dance, folk music, and ink painting) by demonstrating the artistry and expertise of artists through collaboration.

The artists are from various artistic backgrounds, including Hip Hop producers and choreographers collaborating with folk music composers and musicians. Our collaboration is a means to break down the interdisciplinary, cultural barriers and prejudice about art forms. We ensure the artists have resources and aid to explore the whole creation process, thus opening a door for different roles as artists.
